Government Atta Shad Degree College Turbat was established in 1969 as Government Inter College Turbat. In 1974 it was upgraded to Government Degree College Turbat. Later on in 1998 it was named after renowned Balochi and Urdu poet Atta Shad. Today Atta Shad Degree College Turbat is one of the prominent colleges of the province in terms of enrolment and performance. It is equipped with modern scientific laboratories and a will furnished library housing around 15000 books on numerous subjects.
